OVERVIEW

The CATANDUANES COLLEGE is the principal institution of higher learning in the province of Catanduanes. It is located in the capital town of Virac, nigh the seaside where the sea breeze keeps it healthy a conducive and ideal place for learning. The campus is easily accessible from any direction, on foot or by any of the local means of transportation. Though conspicuously and ideally located, it has provided for its future expansion a 16 hectare site in another ideal place at the town heights over-looking the beautiful bay.

At present, it offers complete Secondary Course, College of Liberal Arts, Education, Commerce, Computer Science, Secretarial Administration, Technical Vocation Courses, and Master of Arts in Education major in Filipino, English, Science, Math, College Teaching, Values Education and Administration and Supervision. It also offers Master in Management. The small group of dedicated and patriotic stockholders owns the College. Its Administrative official and faculty members are highly competent in their own line of specialization. Although many of them are still engaged in government service, private business and other professions, a sizeable number are full-time teachers. But whether part-time or full-time, all the members of the staff are dedicated to the aim of guiding the Catanduanes youth in the serach for Truth, Knowledge and Wisdom, for the service of the God, Country and Humanity.

The Catanduanes College hopes to imbue its students with the highest virtues of life and expose them to a well-balanced physical, intellectual and moral education. Aware of its role in the manpower development, the College incessantly updates its country, more particularly of the Bicol Region.

The people of the province, specially the parents have entrusted their confidence in the school, by sending their sons and daughters into its portals for higher education.

The Catanduanes College counts among its products a number of topnotchers in national government examinations. It has produced graduates who have made themselves known in the fields of education, medicine, business and politics. It has likewise produced graduates who are now dependable family men and women and who are doing fine in their chosen careers, thus are contributing their share in the task of nation building.

The Catanduanes College, the premier institution of higher learning in the island-province, aspires to promote academic excellence by providing programs, strategies and activities that are relevant to the total human development needs in Catanduanes, the Bicol Region, and the Nation.

OBJECTIVES

1. To imbue its students with the highest virtues of life: love, faith, hope and work;
2. To expose them to a well-balanced physical, intellectual and moral education.
3. To prepare them to address the manpower needs of the Bicol Region in particular and the whole country in general.
